Toolkits pull together relevant and related resources focused on a single topic - from research to case studies, guides, and tools. Toolkits organize relevant resources so practitioners can examine research, read case studies, and down load tools to assist in decision-making as well as implementation.
Resources recommended by the following individuals or organizations are considered for inclusion to the KC site: Completion by Design staff at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, CDAT core staff, and National Assistance Team Partners. Resources received from all other sources are reviewed by the WestEd team to determine if they are appropriate for the KC site and meet established quality criteria.

The goal of this guide is to assist community college faculty, staff, and administrators as they begin rethinking and redesigning their systems, programs, and instruction to increase student completion. The guide identifies the goals of the Completion by Design initiative; summarizes key design principles for improving completion rates; and, in the process, offers a common language for initiating this work.

This companion document offers additional information and strategies, including a series of self-reflective questions to assist colleges in planning their own approaches to improving college completion. The companion document will be further developed during the planning year, based on participating colleges' experiences.
