External Partnerships

Strong community- and business-linked partnerships can increase a community college’s capacity to serve students and undertake reform efforts. Communicating with community stakeholders allows schools to understand the issues facing students, raise awareness of educational opportunities, and obtain feedback on reform efforts. Additionally, schools and businesses can partner to develop focused career training programs that open doors to stable, higher-paying employment.
